There isn't really any typical pattern or behavior for someone who is suicidal, but there are warning signs. You may see one or more of these in someone contemplating suicide.
Be a voice for someone who can't use theirs. If you think someone is struggling with something, mention it. Talk with them. Let them know you care. Don't walk away and think that person is just having a bad day. It could be very serious. But you'll never know unless you ask. Lets break the taboo about depression and suicide. Its time to speak up!
The Ride for Life Poker Run was established in 2012, to raise money for suicide awareness and prevention. We support people of all ages who are left behind and hurting. Being a survivor of suicide is painful.
We also show support for those who are suffering from depression, and contemplating suicide.
Every year, the first Saturday of August, we mount up on our motorcycles, slingshots, all vehicles are welcome, to go on a 100 mile run, through three counties. During sign up you will receive an index card, that you will be getting stamped at each stop. There are four stops along the way. At the final stop, you will be able to draw five playing cards. Best and worst hand prizes! Check flyer for details.
We ride not only to raise money for FrontLine Service, we also ride to honor our loved ones we've lost. We give comfort and show compassion to those left behind.
The Ride for Life Poker Run reminds people that they are not alone.
We ride for life!

We will be having a small "rummage sale" during sign up and after the Poker Run; that include a leather jacket, chaps, leather bandanas, caps, seat pads, and more. These items we're donated by Tim & Patty LaMere. Proceeds go to FrontLine Service for their suicide hotline, Mobil Crisis Team, and after care program.
The Brunswick VFW Post 9520 is graciously providing all participants of the Ride for Life Poker Run a free breakfast at sign up. The menu will be: Scrambled eggs, sausage links, biscuit and gravy. We hope you'll join us for a great cause.
